The scrap book page was titled "my favourite picture of me" Well I had two.....then, my wedding day (Aug 2nd 1975) and now, taken last spring at the Special Olympics Sports banquet (may 2009)

My first two journals.....................

.................. which I will be mailing off tomorrow for distribution to Cancer Patients by a lovely Lady called Shirley.

I would like to do more, but want to get a bit for elaborate.
I designed these two journal with Men in mind, as there are lots of lovely papers for Ladies ...but sometimes its harder to do a "manly" project.

Angels - my collection

My very special collection of Angels................Given to me by very special people in my life, when I was sick. They are very dear to Me and I love to look at them when feeling a little down, they always lift my spirits.
One that is extra special is the Grandmother Angel (front row... holding a baby) given to me by My Mother when Jacob (my first Grandchild) was born in 2006.

Update on Baby Aiden

Aiden is doing awesome, he is now 3 weeks old, and weight in at 2:10oz..........

He managed to have a cuddle with Aunty Natalie, whom I'm wondering is she is getting broody ???

What a busy week, I love it

Well Sunday 2nd August 2009 we celebrated our 34th Wedding Anniversary!

Wow when we first meet in 1972 ... I knew Pete was the "ONE" but 34 years into the future seemed soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo far away.

I love you Pierre, and here's to the next 34 years!!!

We spent the weekend at the Woodshack Inn, in Caledon ,

being spoiled rotten by Pete's sister Pat and her husband Armin.

We had a great relaxing weekend thanks guys.

Saturday we went to a Rodeo.............I will put that into my next post.

Also look for a new craft I'm doing "Journals for cancer patients" ..... never done this before, but a list I belong to asked for people to make a journal and Shirley would send them to the Cancer Society to hand out to recipients.

Stay tuned for a pic when I finish my first book, what a wonderful Idea, I would love to have received on on my cancer journey in 2006.

I did receive a couple of knitted/crochet blankets through the Cancer society, which were wonderful when you were feeling cold. But the Journal idea is an awesome Idea as well.

George & Nuala Wedding Pictures

Our very good friend George met the love of his life less than a year ago, and got married 29th June 2009 in Ireland.

Due to our ill health we were unable to attend in person...........BUT........... you were and are always in our thoughts and prayers.

We received beautiful wedding pictures from them this week and would like to take this opportunity to wish them both all the best for the future.

Nuala we cannot wait to meet you one day, take care of each other..............and never go to be angry!

Here is a card I made on my Cricut Expressions machine using the wild card cartridge.
Came out well, I added metal eyes, and inked the feathers and outline, was very happy with the result. The envelope is also from the wild card cartridge and turned out good as well

Aiden Ray Maxwell making his debut 14 weeks early

Well Katie had a nice surprise, 26 weeks pregnant and she has given birth to Aiden! (on July 7th, 2009)

He weighs in at a whopping 2lb 4oz and is doing really well, so well in fact he now weighs 2.6lbs and is off the ventilator.

He is a strong little fighter and were all saying a prayer that stays that way.

Keep up the Great work Aiden cannot wait to meet you

Well Canada day has been and gone, so has the first 6 months of the year...............someone once said (when I was younger) "wait till you get old and see how time fly's by" I did not understand what they meant.......................but I do now !!!
We had a lovely BBQ at very special friends yesterday, the rain came but it did not dampen anyones spirits.................a great time was had by all.

I've just finished reading the DaVinci code, and now I'm off to get Angel and Demons.

Home at last............

After spend a week in the hospital, the food ???? don't think I will go there!, I'm glad to report I'm home and getting back on track health wise!
Not back on track with housework, crafts or anything else, but I'm sure they will all wait for me.

While away My baby girl "Daisy" my JR missed me terribly she paced around the house for the week I was away, but has not left my side since being home.

Summer has finally arrived with a vengance.............HUMIDITY.........I don't like it. Thank goodness for Air Conditioning.

Well thats this weeks ranting and ravings of a mad woman,
Think today will be a craft day!

Well here I go...................

My first blog, and I'm not too sure of what I'm doing!

I cannot believe its almost June and we almost need the heating on........where has the sun and warmth disappeared to?

Last night we had a sleepover with our grandson......I now know why were not meant to have babies after a certain age..........we love him dearly but WOW he never stops ha ha ha. Where do they get all their energy from?

I spent a wonderful day with friends in Buffalo on Friday shopping and visiting the Creative Memories Convention..............never been to a scrapbook convention before but already I'm looking forward to next years event.

I've added a picture of a Scrapbook page I recently finished, still have many more pictures to scrap, but will eventually get around to them all

That's all for this first post............think I'm going to go and do some crafting now
